Aromas Water's NewsSplash! 2026 Q3:
Aromas Water District | July – September 2026 | Third Quarter Update
Welcome to NewsSplash! Bringing San Juan Well back into service was a highlight of this quarter and an important step in maintaining dependable water service for our community. Alongside that repair, our team continued the maintenance and water quality testing that help keep water flowing to your home or business.
San Juan Well returns to service
Our operators and well consultant successfully repaired San Juan Well and returned it to service. By August, the well was producing at levels comparable to those before the repairs. As the District’s workhorse well, San Juan plays a key role in meeting our community’s water needs. We are pleased to have it back online, giving us greater flexibility to maintain service when other equipment needs attention.
Keeping watch on your water
Water quality testing brought encouraging results: all total coliform samples were negative, and the reports showed treated water was free of iron and manganese. These results reflect the value of our treatment process and the care our staff put into operating it. Behind the scenes, staff maintained chlorine pumps and water quality analyzers, monitored groundwater levels, and tested backup generators underload. This steady attention helps us identify problems early and keep equipment ready when it is needed.
Help make every gallon count
Water production increased about 10% from June to July and another 2% from July to August. As fall brings cooler weather, you can help make every gallon count by checking for leaks and adjusting outdoor watering to match your landscape’s needs. Reduce irrigation when temperatures drop or rain provides the moisture your plants need. Small changes at home help protect our shared groundwater supply and can reduce your water bill.
Thank you for doing your part to care for our community’s water supply. Stay involved through future Board updates, and join us next quarter for more NewsSplash! Until then, “Make it a great day!”
