Aromas Water's NewsSplash! Fourth Quarter 2018

October is the official beginning of the "Rain Year" and by mid December the rainfall total was up to almost 6.5". Lets hope we get plenty more before the winter is out!

Well production is up a little from last year, so everyone has been using a little more water! Well levels are on the rise, which is great news for the aquifer. Our General Manager and Operations team continue to work diligently to maintain our system at peak efficiency and are installing vital new technology to our more remote sites to improve monitoring and control.

In the November Elections, three of our Board members were re-elected for another four-year term. At the December Board meeting our Directors elect our Board President and Vice President. This time both of the incumbents were happy to serve in these positions for another year. This provides the District with stability in direction and decision making.

Our completed audited Financial Report was presented to our Board at the November meeting; if you would like to review the Audit Report, click here. Despite sound fiscal management, the auditors pointed out that we are still running at a lower financial position than should be the case, thereby providing justification for a rate study which is due to be completed in 2019.,
