Shaun Smith is our Water System Operator. Shaun spent much of 2018 as an Intern here at the Aromas Water District and also as an intern at the Santa Clara Valley Water District. He is a Valedictorian Summa Cum Laude Graduate of Hartnell Community College and has completed additional education at Gavilan College in the school's Water Resource Management program. Shaun is part of the Operations Team who maintain the entire AWD system of three active wells, several booster stations and water storage tanks as well as over 32 miles of pipeline and numerous hydrants.
In his spare time Shaun enjoys going on long hikes, mountain biking on BLM lands or the coastline, playing tennis, watching Sci-Fi films or spending some quality time with dear friends and beloved ones. In addition, Shaun loves volunteering in various activities at his local church, such as in the food pantry. Most importantly, though, he loves his Lord Jesus Christ.
