Robert joined the District in September 2017, after a 33+ year career in the water world.
During his career, Robert has worked for the United States Geological Survey as a Hydrographer, as well as Pearce Hydrology, where he worked as a Hydrologist/Geomorphologist.
In April 1989, Robert joined the Monterey County Water Resources Agency (Agency), where he started as a Hydrologist and, after 28+ years, ended his tenure there as the Agency’s Deputy General Manager, managing multiple facets of the Agency’s business; including the Agency’s Legislative Priorities, the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) implementation for Monterey County and the Salinas Valley, Strategic Planning, the Agency’s data collection efforts, the Agency’s flood warning system, implementation of Agency technology, the Integrated Regional Water Management Planning efforts, and water policy and resources management.
Robert holds a B.A degree in Geology from Humboldt State University, California.
