In compliance with the Ralph M. Brown Act, and AB 1234, § 53235 (a) and (b), each Director is required to submit proof of taking a two-hour Ethics Training Class within every two year period. Click here for the current certificates of completion.
Upon assuming office, Directors are given a copy of "Open and Public, A Guide to the Ralph M. Brown Act". It is District policy to ensure each new Director receives Ethics Training within the first six months of tenure. These classes include how to run meetings effectively, the Brown Act and being an ethical Board Member. Our Counsel is always available for consultation when Staff or Directors have questions and is present at almost every monthly Board Meeting.
